My goal is to help restore my patients’ functional abilities and to teach them about their physical capabilities. Helping individuals understand the fundamentals of tissue healing and the way a body adapts to exercise is a true passion. I pride myself on my ability to connect with patients and to help them enjoy and learn from their experiences with me.
Prior to my career as a physical therapist I played soccer for Wartburg College in Waverly, IA before completing my undergraduate studies at ASU. I then worked as a strength and conditioning specialist coaching individual athletes and teams with a special emphasis in transitioning patients from rehabilitation to optimal performance. While earning my DPT I completed clinical training at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa (the site of the world’s first successful heart transplant) in the Trauma/Orthopedics department.
When not treating patients I enjoy lifting weights, hiking, and reading.
