Amanda Ferland, DPT, OCS

Clinic Manager/Physical Therapist

Education/Certification: I hold Masters and Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, MA. During that time, I had the opportunity to study at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. I am a licensed massage therapist and a majority of my continuing education has focused on improving my manual skills. I have also taken classes in Gary Grey triplanar assessment/exercise and am passionate about incorporating pilates into treatment.

 

My specialties: include soft tissue palpation and joint mobilization. I also chair the Evidence Based Practice committee for MVP and am currently working on publishing a systematic review.

 

Fun facts: I have had the opportunity to sing at several amazing venues in the last several years including The Vatican and Carnegie Hall. I spend much of my free time singing with various groups and performing around the Puget Sound. Travel is my other passion, and I have spent every hour of PTO in New Zealand, Australia, Tahiti & Honduras over the last few years.
